Small dog prefered food and treats?

No kidding I haven't seen a movie in like 3 years, but I guess I can't blame that on the kid. We give Carey Dentabones, but they're kinda big. We used to break'em up for my poodle, but I don't know about them for a puppy.

I too fed my puppies ( shih tzus ) Innova Puppy from the moment I brought them home. Make sure you introduce the food over a period of 7-10 days. 1st day, 90% old, 10% new, 2nd day 80% old, 20% new...until last day 100% new food. As for treats, I gave them ( still do ) a puppy kong stuffed with kibble and sealed with a bit of Jif peanut butter.

I've never done the slow switch - just put the Innova in the bowl right away and ditched the junk immediately. A few days of loose stools is the only effect - just their intestines throwing off the old toxic stuff in there.

I didn't have luck with the Mother Hubbard treats, they all contain wheat and mollasses, my pups had terrible diarrhea until I stopped giving it to them. I found chicken strips ( 100% natural ) with no salt nor additives at Trader Joe's. Dr. Foster and Smith Website also sells it. My pups love them! and is an added source of protein. I also give them Innova bisquits and Karma both made by Natura. They don't like them anymore ( wondering why? )
