Does he keep his leg stiff? Maybe he locked a joint? It's possible he could have broken a tendon or something.

My baby pony all of a sudden got really tender in her hind leg and stiff. Turns out, her stifle joint was locked. She would've been okay, but the vet gave her too much medicine and it killed her. *sniffs* I still cry about her sometimes. *wails*

I came across some info. about a luxating patella .... I think that may be a possibility!

I have Osgood-Schlatter. It's where the tendon pulls away from the bone and it is really tender and PAINFUL! You should check to see if dogs can get it. If they can, and Lucas has it, the tendon could pull away completely resulting in surgery. My tendon could come off soon because I ride horses, though I'm not supposed cuz I have it. I wear a brace which is supposed to help, but I think it is getting worse. If I stopped riding, I'd die, so I'll take my chances.

Uhhh just to hijack a little - you gave him an aspirin? Was it a doggy aspirin? Or did you give him human aspirin? I just panic about this a little because giving human drugs to animals can have very bad, often fatal, side effects.

Aww, poor Lucas.. I'll be hoping for the very best. He could have slipped, it could be a luxating patella, he could have strained a muscle, anything. We'll be waiting for an update! I hope it's nothing serious. Give him a hug for me.
