In heat...
We just got our little Shih-Tzu, Zoey on Satuday, and she's already in HEAT!
 She's 6 months old. Lucy's 6 months, and Dixie's 8 months(this month) (both Lucy, and Zoey will be 7 months this month-they were born 3 days apart) but neither Lucy nor Dixie have gone into heat yet. We're glad of this, since we've been needing to get Lucy spayed, and my mom's calling the vet to get an estimate of what it would cost. Zoey's not mine, so I don't have much say in whether my sister should spay her or not, but I'm pretty sure my sister's going to try to Show/Breed, as I will with Dixie. What's the best method for keeping blood off of everything in the house? We saw some "doggie panties" at the petstore. Would that work? They're specifically for dogs in heat....Also, she keeps trying to "hump" or "mount" Dixie and Lucy. Lucy just runs away when she does it, but Dixie gets aggressive towards her. What do I do? Is this normal? Also, I have a question. Could the fact that she's in heat, be why the girls didn't accept her right away? They were aggressive towards each other at 1st, but thankfully they've just started to settle down, and be friends (sharing food, playing, sleeping together) and now this.... Does Zoey's being in heat affect their personality towards her?

I would say yes it would effect Zoey's actions! After all it is just like if you were on your "time of the month"
So things will probably settle down when she comes out of heat. As for the pants....yes I would use them...they will hlep keep blood off the floor. Just make sure you change it often enough that it does not leak!
