cat owners - a question

Believe it or not, their are different breeds of cats with different types of personalities, just like dogs.

One breed that seems pretty well suited for dogs is the Birman. (Not to be confused with the Burmese.)

Check at your shelter and ask if they have cats who like dogs. Be sure to ask if they actually LIKE dogs, not just if they're "dog savvy", which could mean they know their mind, but are aloof towards dogs.

A kitten would probably be a good choice, they have an easier time bonding with new animals than most older animals. (If you go this route, I recommend getting two kittens . . . It's sooo much easier to deal with two than one!)

My kitty and the dogs get along great,the cat follows them everywhere..even eats with them.
I have a shitzhu who LOVES any kind of baby animal...He'll try to make it lay beside him and he'll follow it everywhere and lick it. Hes done this with cats,other puppies, and baby goats. lol

Aww... all the pics are soo cute... I want a cat and dog that love each other... actually I would settle for any two pets to like each other...LOL... I have 5 pets and no two really love each other they all just kind of co exist, its sad.
The Baby wants to play with and love them all, but they are teaching her the real way of the house is just to ignore each other

A few of my cats LOVE the dogs. One of the Collies has her own kitty that follows her everywhere, snuggles with her and 'hugs' her. It's adorable.

Cats that enjoy being with dogs do exsist, but be sure you get a kitty because YOU want one too, not just for the dog.

We have a cat at work who just loves dogs. Any time one enters the cat room for a cat test, she runs to it an rubs all over the dog. She is so bad that we put her up for the first part of the test, because we are afraid that she will rub on the wrong dog and get hurt.
Of course we also have cats who see the dogs as public enemy number one.

i have two siamese cats. My older one absolutly loves my dog. He chooses to sleep with him instead of me. All three will curl up on my bed together. If you go to petfinder they usually say whether or not the cat likes dogs.
