Actually, I didn't say anything to her, as much as I wanted to tell her what a moron she is. I thought for sure she was going to tap on my window and ask me to roll it down...You're right: next time, I should say "you should get your dog away from my car, because, if I let my dogs out, they WILL hurt him". Not that I ever would let them out, but it would've sent her runnin'.

Maybe the next time she does that to someone else they won't be as kind as you and maybe they will let their window down "just to see what happens" and maybe then she'll learn her lesson the hard way...I think she's lucky she did it to you and not someone with a "mean streak"

LOL! Gotta admit I might very well have rolled down the window or opened the roof enough for the dogs to get their heads out. Especially since I'd be getting trampled in the meantime! I wouldn't let them actually get to her, but I would let them scare her badly enough to have to go home and change clothes!

OMG! You are too funny! Yes, if she did that to someone who isn't as tolerant as me, her little dog could've gotten hurt, or even killed. What kind of a person teases two puppies, anyway?! Maybe she was just enjoying watching them step on me...grr...

Default People even more stupid

I had an Old English Sheepdog who was the light of my life, but was very protective of my house, car and me. I had her and my golden in the car while I was in the store. My OES was in a full coat and looked gorgeous...everyone looked at her and thought about the fun loving dogs in the movies. She looked sweet and usually was, but she was also very protective. I walk out of the store and see Clover going crazy...this man was at my car window with a three year old trying to pet her. I went up and asked him what he was doing and he started talking about how his kid loves the dog in the movie and wants to pet the dog. I was irate...my dog could have taken his kids hand off and was clearly demonstrating that. He then told me that he didn't think my dog would have bitten his child and I told him if I didn't catch you and you stuck your hand in my car you would have been bitten. He walked away like I was crazy. I couldn't believe it.

Geez. People are just so...spectacularly STUPID! He "didn't think YOUR dog would bite"? Why, because she was fluffy?! I would bet about 90% of dog bites could be attributed to stupid people doing something they shouldn't have been doing. I've had 3 serious bites in my career, and every one of them was completely my fault.

oh wow, i cant believe some of the stories!!! now i did have one incident were the people werent completely idiotic but really slow in realizing they should do something..... we were trail riding in the trails me and 2 of my friends, we were the more timid riders so we were called the "walkers" cause all we did was walk pretty much LOL, oh this is horse back riding LOL, anyhow so were trailing along when this huge black dog, not sure what breed came chasing after us barking a storm!!!! now theres suppose to be that electric fence type thing, well there wasnt!!!!!!!!! and our horses all young and with not the most confident riders didnt fly too well. my girl did shockingly better then i expected and kinda pranced off with me, but not at a deadly bolt thanks goodness, but now the other 2 i was with were freaking out and the people whose dog was irrate, well they must have wanted to finish lunch first or something before getting their dog back under controll!!! hello you live off of horse trails, your dog should have better training or more controlled environment, but hey what do i know???? at least no one was injured just our egos, one more set back to our confidence!!!
