They know chocolate can kill a dog right? Are they aware of that? Do they care even?

Is it possible that the "table scraps" included any bones?
He could have gotten hold of a bone, and it could have splintered while passing thru, and punctured part of his colon, or intestine, but passed it anyway. That's entirely possible. But if the x-ray didn't show and punctures or tears, then I'm not sure? Could the dog have cancer??
