Red face choosing the breed for me

Hello!!!! After more thought and reasearch, I still cannot find breed to fit my lifestyle, can anyone help?
I would like dog that is small, even toy
I would prefer a non shedding dog
I would prefer a dog on the quieter side
I would prefer just a lap dog,a cuddle companion

I live in a 3 bedroom apartment, with a park within 2 miles.
No small children or other animals would be around

I have had VERY bad experience with many shelters, and would prefer to buy from a breeder, so please do not post about shelters

Thanks

What kind of "bad experiences" did you have with shelters?

That's a toughie because we're all Pro Shelters here!! How have you had bad experiences when you said you don't have any other pets? "No small children or other animals would be around"

As for a breed, I would Suggest a Bichon Frise. Seems to fit all your criterior!

I find that small, purple font really hard to read. And I don't have bad eyes. At least not when I'm wearing my glasses or contacts!

We made some suggestions for you on the other thread. Maybe you should read through those.

Hi,
I was just wondering if you talked to the rest of your family about this?
I saw you were only 13 and maybe if you talked to the rest of your family you can work something out?
Just remember that is you do get a dog the rest of your family is gonna have to participate in the growth of it. You shouldn't just keep a dog outside all the time (at least in my opinion you shouldn't), so make sure they are willing to have the dog inside.
Is your family going to train it or are you going to ?
What about socialization?
Maybe you can work out a schedule so it isn't left home for 6 hrs?
Maybe so someone can come home and check on it every 2 hrs or so?
I am trying to suggest somethings, but everyone has already suggested alot of things. I would listen to what they have told you.
I am pro-shelter also, but it seems you are totally against it.
I would be curious as to what experience you had with a shelter also?
And what shelter was it?
Was it a Humane Society?

I think we're all inclined to wait until we know what the problems with shelters have been before moving on with any more advice or suggestions. Being gone for six hours during the day makes raising a puppy that becomes a well adjusted, happy dog most improbable, and being thirteen, there will be other family members to take into consideration. A park that's over a mile away is all well and good if you're able to drive, but a small dog or puppy can't walk two miles to a park, and a thirteen year old isn't safe walking that far alone in today's world anyway.

This was all hashed out with 31 posts the last time you asked . We're all repeating ourselves. I don't understand what more you're wanting. Why don't you and your family put names in a hat and draw one out. Personally, I too would rather go the route of rescuing .... that way you see what you get.
