I'm haven't read any of the other posts, so I'm sorry If you've already found out what he is, but here's my 2 cents.....
 There he looks like a Pit Bull  Ummm I want to say here he looks basenji-ish??? So my guess is Basenji/Pitt mix. Good luck with that Katrina pup! He's a cute one!

It's like someone cut off a Pit Bull's hindquarters and glued a Basenji's on in their place. The front of him looks Pit Bull, but I keep coming back to Basenji for the rear. 0.o
Handsome dog, btw.
