Angry good dog food besides EVO! need quick responce!

I might have to change Sams food cuz, my mom would rather listen to our vet then me. I mean I can understand, but when I said the vets don't know much about nutrituion she asked me how I knew that and I mentioned chaz (note:she hates chaz!) she was like "and how do they know this?? did they go to vet school?" she challenges everything I say and never listens to me! and boy does she lie! I mean she can lie!and you'll fall for it too if you don't know her! grrrrrr...I think I'll just crawl back in my hole now and get on with the problem...

ok, now thats out of the way...I was feeding EVO, but need a runner up

I'm thinking California Natural or Eagle Pack..but still would like to know what you guy think is next best to EVO??

I feed California Natural and I love it. If your mom doesn't want to feed EVO, how about just regular Innova?

I was thinking about that, but my mom might say no, cuz it still has the Innova name. I'll definitally try to get it, but it depends what my mother has to say....

If you email me and tell me about the specific concerns your mom has, I'll be happy to discuss them. If it would make her happy I can include printouts that you can discuss with your vet.

Eagle Pack is a high quality food and would definitely be an option if you are looking for a more "traditional" type kibble.

It's difficult to make recommendations without knowing what's locally available to you, but if you have a list of brands, I can comment on quality if you'd like.

Another nice option is Healthwise, Natura's "budget line".

California Natural is high quality food, but is quite low in protein and I wouldn't recommend feeding it without also supplementing canned or fresh meats.

What about Canidae? It seems to be more common than a lot of the other high end dog foods.

Thats what I want to know too!

I've never met anyone who "bad mouthed" innova, most people have never heard of it! And the ones who have heard of it, rant and rave about it being the best dog food on the market - bar none. The place I'm currently buying it from sells Eagle pack, Canidae, Royal Canin, California Natural, Wellness and several others I can't remember the names of... And she (the owner?) told ME Innova EVO (specifically the evo) is the absolute top of the line, best of the best out there.

Between hearing it from here on this forum (the only pet forum I'm on btw), and hearing it from the feedstore lady who sells many other brands too... Hey! Thats good enough for me!

My mom said the vet said (but she could be lieing ) that EVO was a good food, but no different then any other dog food out there. she said it was like the 'new fashion' for dog food. but like I said, my mom could be lieing...(she does that alot) then she said that dogs can't eat raw meat because theire domesticated. they might have ate it as wolves, but not now. and everytime I metion chaz she doen't even listen..

I've got pretty much all the high-quality food by me.

My vet thinks that way, too.

I mentioned feeding RMBs to my dogs and the vet assistant looked at my like I had four heads She can choose to feed Science Diet, *I* will choose what I want my dog to eat.. certainly won't be Science Diet, Eukanuba, or Purina
