Other than commands, like "human" words that they understand:
- walk (we have to spell it out, but they've figured that out now) - go for pee pee/go outside -Brutus (they know they're going to visit Brutus) -car ride -hungry puppies -school -treatsies that's all I can think of right now. I have to watch when I say most of those words because otherwise they both go nutso and won't calm down unless I "yell" at them or we do that activity! LOL |

Since I talk to Hunter like he's human and carry on conversations with him all the time, I think he knows 75% of my language! As long as I leave out the technical jargon! He knows all the basics (sit, stay, down, etc.) but also his fave phrases are:
- Bally (for his ball) - leave it (to leave something alone) - guppy (to get up on something) - Din-Oh (dinner )- "Get your baby!" (to pick up all the babies he's left out in the yard) And... his all time fave... "WANNA GO TO GRAMMY'S????!!!!" That usually ends up with screams of excitement and I get to do that in about 1/2 hour!!!!!!

My dogs are bi-language, for I talk to them mostly in Vietnamese, but some commends are just easier in English (specially the common sit, down, stay..) So far, they understand:
- Go pee (they pee on cues ![]() - Go daddy (their dad works at a shop on weekend, and I often take them there to visit him. Soon they learned that "Go daddy" means to jump on the car for a ride!) - Sleep now (they'd go to their bed and lay down) - No more (they'd stop staring me down for treats, or whatever they're asking at the time!) - Where's mommy/daddy/mocha/missy?? (They'd look for the one in question) - Bye bye (They know they'd be left alone for a while) - Ddi ta('m (a Vietnamese phrase meaning to take a shower) (they love their bath time, but everytime they hear these words, they'd try to hide!!. It's hilarious) - Mommy be^' (meaning to hold) - they'd jump on my lap to be cuddled -Ma^m ma^m (meaning let's eat) - They'd get excited, and stop whatever they're doing to follow me )

My dogs know:
hungry food eat supper bedtime go away + all their basic commands and stuff for agility, obedience, etc Seriously, it has gotten so bad that my mom has to spell those words out. If my dogs even hear "supper" or "food" or "time to eat" they go bazark. Lol. |
