Default Dog food article in dog fancy

Any impression?

I loved the way they hinted that holistic food is basically a lie and a rip off and how byproducts are not a bad thing

Which Issue? What's on the cover? I have read quite a few articles about nutrition in the breed specific magazines by the same publisher, and have been rather dissapointed in all of them.

It's the September one... I think?

Mostly, it's a vet speaking, so yeah... They have a few good points, but nowhere do they state the simple fact that it's best when you have meat as first ingredient for example... and they say that byproducts are just as good.

Bleh.

I only read a part of it, mostly just skimmed over it.

I did read where they're talking about byproducts, and it's not the first time I've read something like that.

I'll have to re-read it, but from the little bit I read, I wasn't impressed. But I wasn't surprised.

The author is Denise Flaim, she wrote a book called 'the Holistic Dog book: Canine care for the 21st century'.

Does that ring a bell to anyone?

There's an Australian Shepherd on the cover. With DOG FANCY written in big (blue?) letters across the top lol.
