I avoid pretty much any breed when I'm out walking. For one, just b/c I can walk my dog by with no problem, doesn't mean the other owner walking can with their dog, just a matter of courtesy, & any dog can bite regardless of breed.

I never avoid a dog outright because of breed. If I'm on my own, I'll talk to the owner from a distance (if it's convenient) and ask if I can say hello to their dog. The only time I don't do this is if the owner looks as if they have NO interest in a conversation, or if the dog is acting aggressivley. When I'm walking a dog it's another story. A lot of the dogs I walk have dog aggression, so I avoid all other dogs. When I'm walking a dog who wants to meet the other dog, I do the same as I do when I'm alone, ask from a distance if the dogs can meet.

I never avoid dogs based on breed. But I am hesitant around large male dogs when walking Zeus. Zeus can sometimes be aggressive towards other males that are about his size, so I try to be careful.

I don't avoid a particular breed, but I avoid particular actions from other dogs.

Its usually the little dogs you need to look out for! lol

At least in my neighbour hood..

Little dogs are "too cute to train properly" around here I have noticed lol Its the little dogs that are tugging at the end of their leash, barking and going on at another dog, squirrel, paper in the wind etc etc.
Any large dog I have seen in my neighbourhood is fairly well trained on leash!

I watch the body language of both breed and owner and make my decision from there. Now if I'm walking Aubrey, I might cross the street as a courtesy to them, as she tends to be an idjit about wanting to meet other dogs while on lead.
