^yup, it looks like a patterdale but i'm pretty sure it's not b/c they're rare. i'm leaning towards some sort of terrier. we went to the park yesterday and she was ver agressive toward other dogs. i had to hold the leash short.

She could be aggressive towards dogs because she hasnt been socialized much.

I dont see pit in her. Its hard to tell from just one photo though... do you have any others?

I see lab mostly, possibly pit with the ears and the top of the head... it's hard to see when she's sitting.

She's a doll though

You definitely have Lab and some terrier. Alot Lab pups can be hyper, but I imagine it's the terrier that's making her overly hyper. Tira was a moderately hyper pup and Gunner has his WAY hyper moments (then he'll sleep for a few hours after he's worn out ). Train Maddie early and you won't have the jumpy bouncy issues when she's older.

thanks for the help guys. i contacted her previous owner, and they know for sure she's part terrier because maddies's mom's mom was a lab-jack russell mix. the mom was apparently mostly labrador looking with a terrier personality & they don't know what breed she bred with. thanks again!

its higly unlikely tht shes part patterdale, they're extremely rare!
most lab puppies look part patterdale just because they're very alike looking,

the nipping is very common of a terrier but not completely unheard of in labrador pups,

i really dont think you could get terrier from being dog aggressive,
dog aggression isnt completely uncommon in labs especially porely bred ones,

how much socialisation has she had?

yup i figured the patterdale thing, and not much socilazition so far. i took her to the park and she's friendly towards other dogs but this was last week.she recently got real sick and i had to leave her at the vet for a week.her puppy classes got delayed too, we have to wait till the sunday after next now =<

yeah i guess i was jumping to conclusions before. i was freaking out because she was jumping all overthe other dog the day i started this thread, growling and nipping and all, but the next day i took her to the park and she was pretty mellow.

thanks again for the help
