Hi,
Has anyone heard of puppies suddenly collapsing/ fainting? I have a friend who told me his puppy faints all of a sudden. Is this a serious thing?

epilepsy? Hypoglycemia (sp?) would see the vet soon. That has to have a reason and it is not to my knowledge normal at all.

I'd be on the phone to the vet the first time it happened!

oh yeah that's Hypoglycemia. You might want to tell her to get some Nutrical or honey in handy when her dog faints. Too much seizure will cause head trauma.

It sounds to me like she may be epileptic. Whatever it is it's NOT normal. This qualifies as an emergency. I'd take the puppy to the vet immediately.

It is possible that it also could be some kind of heart arrythmia. That can cause fainting.
