Whoa! Bubbatd nailed it on the head! On the first try! *high fives*
And before anyone says something about him being a hybrid, I've lived with several wolf hybrids before and know what we're in for.

Looks like he has very little wolf blood in him.

Supposedly his mother is 50% and his father is 75%, making him 60%? Anyway, I have a hard time believing that he was more than 25%. I think that sometimes breeders get mixed up in their math and/or fib a little, so after a couple of generations of hybridizing the true percentage is lost.

Regardless, he is a total sweetheart and has a beautiful smile. His personality is very outgoing and playful with everybody and he adores children and our kitten. He would also like to eat our chickens for lunch. Qualities I really like in a wolfdog, as opposed to the timid and quaking behind their masters type. Mainly the purpose of this thread was to prove that it's impossible to distinguish a wolfdog by their looks. :-) Which is good news because if breed specific legistlation ever passes banning hybrids I can just say he's a husky mix. You can't even do a DNA test or anything to prove otherwise. Woo!

When I was little we had a wolf hybrid and a dingo/ridgeback cross, very different from each other but at the same time very different from a fully domestic dog. The Dingo mix died of old age when I was 11, and the wolfdog died of old age when I was 14. After that my dad said no more dogs (he doesn't like dog poo). Then when I graduated high school I went and stayed with a family as a live in nanny for three years and they had two wolfdogs (Timber and Bo), both of which outweighed me by 30 lbs! They were huge! It was so sad though, a neighbor shot Bo in their yard, he was such a terrible jerk. Timber had to be put down at 15 years old because of terminal cancer. I was really impressed with how healthy he was, and that he was still doing so well at 15 as far as his joints and everything, he weighed 145 lbs.

I really didn't learn how to train and handle "normal" dogs until I moved in with my friend Melinda, and she had me help her train her SAR dogs. The most difficult dog I have ever worked with was that crazy greyhound/husky/gsd mix! She was crazy, and pushy! But very sweet.

Frankly, because I've grown up with hybrids I think it be a lot easier more me to train one than if I went out and got a pure bred bullmastiff or something else that was totally unfamiliar. I've just been waiting to get into a situation where I am finally stable enough for a dog, and we finally bought a house. Whoa, sorry for the long post, reminiscing and all.
