What about a Sheltie, Schipperke, Jack Russel, Corgi, Keeshound, Cocker Spaniel?

Schipperke would be a great fit.

Not sure if a cocker or keeshound would be considered a lap dog.

Some Cockers are fairly small.. but yeah a Keeshound might be a squeeze as a "lap dog" from all their fur lol

I completely agree. Poms are wonderful little dogs. They need a fair bit of brushing but they look like a puppy and act like one too!
