I'm sorry, I didn't realize we were back in grade school. Let me go get my crayons.

I was an ACO. If ya'll think you can hurt my feelings you've got another thing coming.

Not trying to hurt your feelings at all. Just hoping I could keep my thread on track so I can get the help I need and if anyone has comments for you, they can post them here.

*I dont know what happened and I really dont care*

But making a thread for people to post comments about someone is kinda uncalled for, no matter what they did...its not making you any better than they are...

I think that Chibree is just feeling a little "Bashed" and tired right now, with it being so close to her dog whelping

Thanks BP

Im am really sorry, but I am getting quite sick of summitview going into any thread that relates to pregnancy or puppies and bashing the people that started the thread. I have been doing some looking and I have come to the conclusion that summitview is a hypocrite. She is always bashing people for not having their animals spayed and neutered and says that breeders should show their dogs and you name it she has said it. Anything and everything to bash breeders. Just wanted to post some of the things she has said and you guys can make up your own decisions about her.

First I'll post the quotes where she is against breeding.

For the record, irresponsible breeding is EVERYONE'S business, we all have to deal with the outcome and the overpopulation problem.
"Unproven" - The dog is not proven to be of breeding quality.
Breeding unproven pets is not breeding to improve the breed.
So the only real way to judge any sort of breeding quality is the conformation ring.
I still do not feel that breeding solely for agility is ethical. Agility is a performance event that any mutt can do, it is not a sport that proves breeding worth (examples of those sports are Sch, racing, hunting, earthdog, etc).
However, breeding mutts ("designer mixes") is not ethical. There's no real reason to do it other than to produce cute pups to sell, which is wrong.
Codes of Ethics are put out by purebred parent clubs and should be adhered to for the sake of the dogs.
Now for the quotes where she doesn't seem to against the "unethical breeding" she is always speaking of

They're sled dogs. Why make a point that they're inside? We raised Alaskan Husky pups outside in Minnesota in February. I personally wouldn't whelp/raise sled dogs inside. To each their own, I just don't get why you made a point of saying they were inside. Good luck with the pups.]
She helped with breeding, but bashes everyone in the forums for it, and refuses to help them

None of the above. Alaskan Huskies are a type of sled dog. They are not a registered breed of dog.
Had my breeding taken, my bitch and pups would have remained outside. I know most of the folks here have pets and show dogs, and I've got to say - working dogs are different. Sled dogs particularly.
Again, I thought she said she is against breeding.

Merv has darn nice dogs. Let's hope that part of the pedigree is strong and your pups have some of his dogs' speed!!
"Alaskan Husky" is a term for the generic racing sled dog. There's everything behind those dogs. It's no specific cross or mix.
Hmmm thought she said there was no ethical reason to breed mutts. Im pretty positive that a 1/2 sprint dog, 1/4 border collie, 1/4 sibe IS a mutt!

She also said that the only way to judge any sort of breeding quality is in the conformation ring. How do you judge a dog in conformation that has no standards like these mutts she is talking so highly about this guy breeding. Seems to me that she has said that she is against these very things. I guess not.

1) I agree with ALL SV's comments on breeding

2) SV is not against breeding. SV is against ill thought out irresponsible breeding.

3) if EVERYONE had the same views on breeding, the shelters and rescues would be empty.

Well since you've started this thread in regards to attacking another member maybe I should voice out what's been bugging me for a little while. First of all Iím not going to approach your breeding posts, Chibree, hope for your chi's sake that she pulls through this breeding and pray that she doesnít live a long life of being bred.

Now on to whatís bugging me. What has happened to this site? This used to be a site where the majority was against irresponsible breeding and now most of what Iíve seen lately on threads are bunch of BYB sticking up for one and other and shunning the words of ethical breeding. These are sad days, imo, I hope that ethical breeders and people who support it donít end up leaving this site because of the select few. I hope this pendulum comes back to were it once was and soon, we need your voice of reason.

As to not wanting to say what we feel because of fear to running off a few, well, if you breed your dog then you should get used to getting asked a few questions. If you breed dogs the ethical way then youíd have no qualms in answering them. Iíve noticed that the ones that do get upset are the ones who are trying to hide a few bad practices. And if they want information on breeding then why not just do a search, this site is full on information on it.

I agree with Giny and I have been afraid to voice my opinion for fear of being attacked but, since Giny was brave enough to post what she felt then I will to . I think it is great that we are here to help people but it does seem that some of the past few threads in the breeding area have been posted by irresponsible outcomes and not breeding to improve a breed but just because. Also letting two intact opposites of sex play together and now thinking their female is pregnant. I don't support people breeding unless the dogs are shown in coformation or have an exceptional pedigree. I asked Chibree in one of her many threads if her bitch does need a C-section if she would then just spay her to avoid future problems and her reply was a flat out NO she will not spay *sigh* Why put a bitch through that again and again and why breed her again when one litter is enough. It bugs me to that this place seemed against BYB and now people are sticking up for it. I try to avoid reading peoples posts on breeding just because some of them have made me angry and I try not to even reply but this one has gone to far and now it is bashing others who don't agree with others breeding ethics .
