Default Is this pure Chesapeake?

I dont know how to use pictures but here is a link http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=6590213
It looks different from most of the Chesapeakes I have seen but I am certainly no expert.

I think it's another proof that lots of rescues know nothing about dog breeds...

The dog definitely looks to have chessie in him...there are some chessies that have that dilute color. You can go to this site I found: http://www.longmeadowchesapeakes.com

Some of their chessies are fawn in color.

Definately a pure chessie. He is a masked light deadgrass. What a pretty boy.

Chessies come in a few colors: brown, sedge, tan and deadgrass. Here are some good examples of chessie coloring: http://www.cbrs4me.com/chesapeake/breed_standard_7.html

Here's a trio of chessies, one of which is a masked deadgrass:

And another of the same shade of deadgrass:

Another reason why I love this site - I can learn something new everyday! I've seen loads of Chessies over the years but never one with a mask. I love the look!
