purebred blue german shepherd?

They do indeed have a blue shepherd. They are purebred shepherds, but the blue is considered a fault, as are the whites. They are absolutely gorgeous. I believe they can be registered with the AKC and can compete in events, such as obedience, agility, herding, etc. The only thing they cannot do is compete in conformation showing. As for the temperament, the color has nothing to do with it. The difference in temperament has to do more with the lines. There's the German lines and the American lines. The German lines tend to have alot more drive than the American Lines. It's all about preference. Both of our shepherds are from the German lines, but it makes no difference to us, we'll take either or.
