So the pregnant kitty I was talking about in the other thread is due anytime now.
The family has just gone on vacation, so now I have care of the kitty at it's house .
Basically, what do I need to know? They don't know what they are doing, so no point in me calling them.
Also, she keeps crying to go outside, though I am worried becase if I let her out, and she has her kittens outside... That would suck.
Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't know you had a pregnant cat to look after, I can't offer anything as I have no experience what so ever with pregnant cat's. Good luck with it all though, kittens are soooo sweet.

As far as i know from cats the we had when i was a child, they pretty much take care of thier own business.
She will quite possibly give Birth during the night, all of ours did, so i would just make sure that she is inside after dark.
Has she got a nest set up ready?
She will automatically go to a very warm place for delivery if there isn't *IE: on the bed or laundry basket*

The husband set up a small basket with some blankets.
They said I can let her out during the day and that she would come back before dark but I am really nervous doing that. There are coons around here and I am worried she could get hurt or have her kittens outside.
Bailey+Ralph, one of my main concerns is that she is a very small cat. The cat that is the father (I am assuming) is quite a bit bigger!
I guess I am just stressing over nothing.
Kase, they only told me last night as they were leaving.

Sorry, I just went back and reread your post. I am sure they will be adorable, though I am angry and annoyed by this family. There are SO many kittens at the shelter I volounteer at. They wanted their cats to have kittens so that there kids could see .
It just makes me so mad that they could be so selfish. I am actually considering leaving a note explaining why they should neuter/spay their pets (it would be polite mind you).
