Wizard of Claws, a puppy mill claims to have a Yorkie that only weighs 1 oz. to 1 and 1/2 oz.. Makes me sick.

Someone posted something about the Wizard of Claws quite some time ago. There was a protest or something about it. I'll run a search and see if I can't come up with the thread.

Thanks for letting me, and other people, know there was threads about that place. Two of the threads were very informative and I learned that the Wizard of Claws place is not too far from where I live. A long time ago when I was just looking around for a puppy, I came across their website and thought to myself that they were a puppy mill because of the large amounts of dogs they have on their site.

I can not believe what those idiots are doing! One of the people told their story about buying a puppy from those idiots and it just completely shocked me! The poor puppy was walking on its wrists and could not stand up on its hind legs. The puppy had arthritis and a bad hip, to where there was nothing holding the poor pups joints together. And the worst part about this, these idiots still have their website up and running, and people are still buying from them!! This makes me soooo upset and angry at what people can do just to make a buck! Some of the dogs on their website cost up to $10,000!!! Ugh, I'm so angry about this!

Guess where WOC gets their dogs? www.google.com. Yup, they just find other idiots on there that they can buy puppies from.

I feel horrible for that little dog.

I'm sorry to anyone who has teeny dogs and is offended by this, but dogs that small serve only one purpose - to be a fashion accessory. It's like a contest, who can have the smallest dog.. What purpose does a 1/2lb dog serve that a 5lb dog couldn't serve? Even then, what purpose does a 5lb dog serve that couldn't be done by a 10lb dog? I think it's all for fashion.. If not, WHAT ARE THEY FOR?

(BTW I am the slave to a 4lb "fashion accessory" called Ripley, and I do know how wonderful they are. I'm just wondering what the big need is for these uber-tiny dogs.)

Yeah, I also can't understand why people would want such a tiny dog, you can't even play with it for fear it might it hurt and you constantly have to be looking under your feet so as not to step on it. I don't think these people actually know what's involved in caring for such a "teacup", all they are thinking is "oh he's so cute, I want one". My Chihuahua is 11 lbs. Let's hear it for the coffeemugs.
