Default Fortune Teller-Would You Go?

There is a fortune teller in the region, who apparently calls herself the Black Witch, that my friend wants to go see and asked me to come with her. The cost of a fortune telling is $50 a pop.

Poll coming.

Hell will freeze over before I pay $50 for fortune telling.

The only way I would ever go is my friends wanted to and I didn't want to seem like a grump. Even then I would never pay $50 for it.

For $50, on my budget....nope. Wouldn't do it. Heck, I wouldn't even choose to have it done for $5. But if someone said, "Hey, I'll pay for you if you come with me!" I'd totally do it out of curiosity. Don't think I'd base my life decisions off the reading, though.

ETA: actually, for the $50, I'd rather my friend take us out for a nice dinner or buy a new video game or something versus going to a fortune teller. But...meh.

Is it $50 for a full 45-60 min reading? I probably would because I have fun with stuff like that and enjoy it but it is a lot of money if its something you arent into.

I don't believe in it. I voted no, it's a scam. BUT, I wouldn't mind doing it as something to do with a friend, you know? $50 is kind of steep though.

Not for $50 - I might for $10 or $15 as a form of amusement. Kind of like going to a movie, haha.

Not for $50. But, I find fortune-telling highly entertaining so for a more reasonable price I would do it ($20 or less).

I went to one that was $45, although my mother paid for it.

There is zero percent of me that believes in that stuff, but I cannot figure it out either. Multiple family members and friends see the same woman with a scary level of accuracy.

I'd go to my friend's reading for amusement, but I would not get my own at that price.

Basically this. I believe they are total scams (albeit some are better than others at the art of reading micro-facial expressions, guessing, research etc..) BUT if my friends really wanted to go and I didn't have to pay, why not?

I mean I don't see the harm...to me it's like reading my cosmo horoscope I know it's a bunch of hooey but eh why not if it's free and my friends and I are all reading them lol
