Hmm, depends what you count as rare. There's a couple coolies around here. Giant schnauzers are fairly rare around here. My uncle had two cane corsi at different times. I've met some barbet from a local breeder.

I dont know, I guess I know many other breeds a that some would consider rare, but I see them often enough to not be thinking of them.

Oh, and I own a Chessie. Seems like most people had one when they were growing up, but don't have one now. (That's what I'm told, anyway. "Oh, I had one of those when I was a kid!" or "My dad used to hunt with one, but he doesn't have one anymore.") I have only met one other Chessie, besides Abrams' breeder's dogs.

Wow...I've met a lot!

There was a Koolie at Flyball last weekend. So I can add that LOL

A couple of Azawakhs at coursing. Plus a bunch of Silken Windhounds.

A guy moved onto our street with a large Xolo.

Icelandic Sheepdogs.

Pumi - we had one camped out with us for the weekend at the dog show in Dec LOL. OMG the ears! THE EARS!

Mudi

Entlebucher

Swedish Valhunds

Kai Ken

Teddy Roosevelt Terrier

All sizes of Pondengo (lots and lots and lots of the little ones)

Picardy Shepherd

Borboel

American Hairless Terrier

Bedlington

Polish Lowland Sheepdog

Dogue de Bordeaux

Fila

Boykin Spaniel

Otterhound

Russian Toy

Lagotto

Large Munsterlander

Spanish Waterdog

The dogs that look like little Pharaoh Hounds with a name I couldn't hope to spell properly.

And of course lots and lots of Pyrsheps and Belgians of all kinds.

I know there's a lot more but i also have a hard time deciding what's "rare".

I like that Hudson has become, like his own brand of ES. And yes, Jess, I think you were the first to meet him.

Met a few... then I again I do hang out at French Shepherd dog events, so it's not too surprising that I've met few Berge Picards & Briards.
Other than that, my Aunt owns an Irish Deerhound.
I've met a Kangal a few times...
Zora also has a Swiss Shepherd, a Leonberger and a Fila in her puppy class.

And well, Zora is the only Beauceron in town.

Just remembered that we took classes with a Spanish Water Dog and a Bavarian Mountain Hound.
