This morning I tried to do a few repetitions of getting Cohen to catch her bunny when I throw it to her. Not sure if we're gonna get anywhere with this, but it's super cute. Just an idea for you other people with handsy dogs.

We kind of had to take a break on this one, Onyx was getting really frustrated and it just wasn't going well, so today I decided to not use the pole I was using before and move to something softer and wider, that she could actually grasp. Also, I started cueing her to beg first. It went way better! She can't seem to actually keep balancing and hold on to it for any length of time but I think it will come pretty quickly from here.

^^ That was a super good idea. Once I tied a towel on the bat, Squash really got better at it, too. She looks great!

We just started working on this one.

Bamm is just... well... he's Bamm. I missed a lot of potential good click/rewards on this one because he can be frustrating to work with. He is a bit of an over achiever. I wish I could calm him down just a little bit and have him actually focus instead of throwing himself at the pole the second he sees it like a crazy mad man. lol. Ohhhh Bamma.... advice??? btw in this video you can hear Joey digging at his crate in the room behind us.... ughhh.

Joey actually did really well with this... especially considering he is typically just a derp when you work on new things with him. All he usually wants to do is bounce around and play. He was much more focused on this though and did really well for our first session, minus a couple derp moments.

Cricket did pretty well, but I feel really off on my clicks and rewards... oy...

I think we've just about got it! Big breakthrough today.

She was super tired here, big day (I woke her up to do more training). I wasn't sure we were going to get this one, she was SO frustrated by it until we tried a different object, then BAM, totally got it. Yay!!

Thanks, I am super super stoked she picked it up so suddenly

And yeah she totally has a rocking sit pretty, this was even when she was super tired (we'd done a lot of sit pretty work already) so she was weaker than normal.

Skittledoo, they all look like they're coming along well! Bamm and Cricket are so enthusiastic, I love it! I somehow have a bunch of chilled out dogs, even my Mal isn't as keener as your guys

Bah! Whenever I am running the camera we have sit pretty fail. If I don't film we are like sit pretty gods (well not quite in comparison to you guys).

Ha! Proof! (Sorry, she's facing the wrong way... I was trying to work on rebounds and she was having another day where she did a few and then just wasn't having it anymore for some reason).

Excuse the mess... packing for Mexico. Have to drop the dogs off at the kennel in a few hours. I'm a bit of a wreck. Is it weird that I'm kind of thinking I'd rather stay here in the cold with my dogs?

My friend, who was Gusto's foster mom and remains one of his most favorite people, is in the hospital with heart problems right now, so we just spent 15 minutes trying to get this shot for her. I wish it were better focused but...camera phone.
