Default Halloween night training ideas

So Halloween is tomorrow and I will be using this opportunity to do some training with Panzer. Any ideas, suggestions or advice would be great. We will be working on socializing, door dashing and sitting nicely when kids come to the door. We also will be having people over for pumpkin carving so it should be lots of fun.

Thanks Guys, Happy Halloween

I would just focus a lot on positive associations with all of the commotion and crazy costumes! I wish that I had my puppy now so that I could use this training experience! Good luck.

Feist and I are probably going to hang out on the front porch, hoping to get kids to give her a treat when they get their treat. So just working on chilling on a tether and socialization with kids/people dressed up all weird and running around. Should be fun!

I'm going to put both of mine on tie outs that reach just to the front door, and when kids come knocking I'm going to open it and teach them to charge the door barking That should scare some kids

I'm joking of course, i make them sit behind me at the door, they don't get to stick their noses out and sniff anybody.

My advice? Have a crate or xpen set up so you have a place for Pan if he needs "off" time. We actually kept Caleb in his xpen his first Halloween ( he was 3 1/2 months old). It was already set up within a few feet of the door. He could see all the kids, they could see him, and quite a few asked if they could come pet him (obviously kids we knew). Worked out perfect for us- he was exposed to the costumes, door bell, etc, but there was no way he could bolt out the door or get in trouble while I was distracted.
