New Betta Fish!!!

Okay I was at SuperPets today because they had there 50L bag of carefresh on sale. But they were out. They will have more on Tuesday ;D Anyways so i looked at the fish decore and there was this pretty thing that I was going to buy but I forgot Then I looked at all of the fish. I really wanted a girl betta but my Mom didn't like and of they ones they had (this batch wasn't very colourful but I liked them). So we looked at the male bettas. They had this really pretty nylon blue guy I was going to ask my mom for him but I decided to look at the rest first. They had apricot spots, whites, blues, reds, combodian, all sorts of colours ;D They had a little .5 gallon on the counter near the bettas I looked in thought I saw some dark red betta. I told him he was pretty and then went and looked at the hamsters stuff. (Nothing interesting today). So I went back to the bettas (well my mom was moving her finger along a goldfish tank and they were following her finger). I looked at the betta in the 0.5 gallon again. OMG OMG OMG A DOUBLE TAIL BETTA!!!!! :hyper: I screamed. People stared. :boggled: I told my Mom how impossible it would be for me to ever see a Double Tail betta again. So she caved. Not after questioning me if I had a bowl (which I did).

So now I have this very handsome male double tail betta! Oh btw for you ppl who have absolutly NO CLUE what a dt(double tail) betta is. They look like this: Double Tail Betta But my guy is dark red.

I need some name ideas. This is what colour he sort of is

Oh I will get pics as soon as he calms down. He is a bit stressed.

It's a shame they keep them in such small containers though .
For future, see if there are any betta breeders in your area, they will be much healthier and much nicer specimans.

All betta breeders are to far and I am not aloud to do shipping. (parents). So I settle for my petshops. Big Als is the best on around ;D I love it there. and there bettas...omg. Some are nicer then the ones on Aqua-bid. That is where i got Miko. But just for that reason(pretty bettas) my parents don't take me there very often. Petsmart is next best on the list.

Anyways I found a name for my guy ;D Mandarin. I will take pics very soon.

It's a shame you can't get them from a breeder...
