Default Axolotls and Bettas

Been kinda sorta easing back into the fish keeping thing, after getting rid of everything when I was going to move. Figured I would share some pics.

I really love a nice, unique betta.

Aaaand, I have some axolotls. I love them, they are so cool. And for the biology nerds, both of these have Green Fluorescing Protein genes...so they have a greenish hue, and glow bright green in UV light.

I definitely think that delta would be a halfmoon if he flared!

Gorgeous! I so miss having a betta!

Stupid question--is an axolotls a fish or kind of amphibian?

They are so awesome! I miss my bettas, too, and I was always tempted to try and have an Axolotls, but I didn't want the hassle of trying to keep the water so cool because at the time (and currently) air conditioning is not always utilized! lol

Thank you guys!

Yeah I was a bit worried about the axolotls and temperature but it seems to be OK. The room gets a little warm now (my A/C is in the bathroom because of the windows), but they seem to be growing well, eating, and happy. I've wanted them literally forever and just bit the bullet and got them .

Oh I forgot to answer this! They amphibians, a type of salamander, that never grows out of the aquatic stage.
