Default Sheila

Sheila had cancer, and the decision was made to let her go today. She'd lost 14lbs over the last month, and was having trouble standing. She was in pain, and was having trouble remembering things.

She had twelve years with us, and I've always wished we were closer. She was never a particularly intelligent dog, and she struggled with a lot of things, but she really, really tried.

She loved Patriot very much, and losing him last year left her lost.

I'm glad she's no longer in pain, and I'm glad she had a family that loved her.

I'm so sorry. May she be running free with all our loved ones.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Our family dog is turning 13 next year, and having them for so long, makes it difficult to adapt to life without them... no matter their bad habits and quirks. I'm sorry that you and your family had to make the decision to put her down, even though it was best choice in the given situation.

The two and a half year old papillon. Crazy. Social butterfly. Clever.
