I have got the dog bug bad. Not really needing a new dog or anything like that but just realizing what a dog-centric lifestyle I'm starting to get ino and it makes me very happy. I really see this as something that will last for a long time.

It's also cool going to trials and knowing people.

I actually successfully taught Talon to do a perch and pivot.

I suck at teaching this, I couldn't get Art to do it (not enough patience) or Talon as a puppy. For some reason I decided to try it again, and we were able to get a full turn within 5 minutes!

I think his brain has finally kicked in. He's doing things no problem when before he couldn't do it at all. So happy!!

I had someone say to me today that they have a friend that has a dog that looks just like mine. I get that a lot then they'll say 'only my friend's was solid black' or something that means it is obviously not a papillon.

This girl say, 'Yeah his name is Nard!'

Anyways, it was my sister's friend.

Jubel is starting his official tranisition to a partial raw diet tonight. Excited!

He's gotten a turkey neck about once a week for a couple months now but we're going to one raw meal a day for now, maybe full raw in the future. Fingers crossed for a smooth and easy transition.

Also found a facility doing lure coursing fun runs next weekend and plan on driving up to try it out. No clue if Jubel will take to it or not but excited to try and it will be cheap to try out.

Been on my mind lately. I am sure it's because it's that time of the month but I keep tearing up.

Such a beautiful dog he was. I can't believe it's been almost 5 years.

I just had several wins tonight, shocking people with my ability to read their dogs and predict their reactions. Meanwhile, on planet human, I can't tell what people are thinking or will do nearly as well.

Dogs are nice, dogs are easy.

He really was. He was 12 (I believe) in that photo. We used to call him Fabio. When he was really young, he was drop dead gorgeous. Even when he was very elderly we were constantly getting told how beautiful he was.

Thought he was a papillon though:

Here's a slightly younger photo (11 years):
