That's great Fran!

Freshly shaved dog belly is the best. Feels like suede.

I miss my dogs. Especially Abrams' big dumb self. Totally should have brought them with me.

Someone online was finally able to articulate what is off about Cohen's rear end. She's got a really short upper thigh! I've always been a bit bugged by her back half but I couldn't really figure it out. Now it all makes sense!

AND IT'S ALL I CAN LOOK AT NOW. SILLY DOG WITH HER SILLY SHORT THIGHS. THAT'S WHY YOUR STRIDE IS SHALLOW.

It's driving me crazy. I can get a little obsessive about things, and this one is worming its way into my brain.

She's pretty and sporty and amazing but STUBBY THIGHS.

Two words.
Poo. Slush.

I really need to win the lottery so I can "winter" somewhere that doesn't get snow and ice. Like Hawaii. As long as I stay under 9000 feet they don't get snow. The internet told me so and if it's on the internet it must be true.

I don't think her markings in that area help, either. Kind of throws the perspective off... Especially in that photo, if you're not paying attention, her rear legs kind of blend into the background.

Agility was cancelled tonight for the second week in a row, because of the weather

That's over 100 seizures! 100!
Which officially makes him a... *drum roll please*
"Reliable seizure alert dog"

this is also the longest I've gone without a seizure related injury! Woo!

I know I can be hard on him and there are moments where I'm not the best trainer and we fall behind and he can be naughty and I feel all is lost..
but I'm just trying to take a moment to appreciate what a gift he is and how lucky I am to have him he really is a good boy.
Him alerting, and learning to so young and just being a natural, is a miracle within itself so props to Merlin

I'm still a fainting goat, but now at least I've got a pretty great sidekick that keeps me out of harms way.
Yay!! GO Fran, Go Merlin, & Go Merlin's breeder!

I'm seriously debating leaving Rigby at SO's new place.

She's been a weirdo since I moved back home. I understand it's a lot of change for such an unstable dog to begin with. But I thought it would go back to the way it was before I moved out, and it just hasn't.

We spent the weekend before the move at his parents. Where she's spent a few weekends since we got her. And she was just off. She went after their dog - a big, calm, non-confrontational Labrador - twice. Once over food, the other I have no idea.

But this week, as soon as she set foot into Josh's new home she seemed "normal" for the first time in a long time. She was happy, calm, and just overall good.
I think it might have been the structure which she doesn't get here at all (read: my parents don't enforce the rules I have for her or Cobain).

It's breaking my heart because I know she wont get anywhere near the exercise she gets with me, or the attention. He works full time, and really isn't "dog savvy" at all. But she was just so happy.

I can't wait to get back out of here. I just hope I can do it before Rigby goes too mental.
