Watson learned to sit from day 1, and his default behaviors are sit and down. I rarely practice show handling stuff. The only time he ever sat down in the ring is during group when I let him do his own thing because he was young and bored and there were a lot of dogs in front of us, so he chose to sit or lay down most of the time. I'm not a brilliant trainer but I haven't found it hard to teach him that show lead + ring + judges + stand cue means stand up. Haha
I ran into a lot of folks like that also when I used to show JRT's ... they were so shocked that I had taught Bear to sit AND down .... but he didn't do it in the ring because the "que" for sit and down I purposely made very different from the "que" to "stand pretty". they were so shocked he could figure out

Of all the photos I took the other day.. why did THIS ONE have to be out of focus??
I can't bring myself to delete it. Ezra looks like the Chubby Bubbles girl. Mimi. I don't even know. Mimi forgot how to dog, apparently.

Just bought Abrams one of these:

I now have a happy and content dog rolling around in the living room while nomming on the bone while laying on his back.

Stupid dog.

He apparently needs more chewies.

I find it mildly amusing to watch my dog work through in her brain if she has to go potty badly enough that it's worth going out in the cold. I opened the door - she stuck her head out and kind of crouched down, pulled her head back in, stuck it out again, then braced herself like she was waiting for the gun to fire at a race... and off she sprinted. She then pretty much collided into the glass door in her rush to get back inside.

I feel bad that she has to pee outside lol but I at least know she'll hold it forever if need be, so I don't have to force her out.

Abrams is a baby. I haven't fed him breakfast yet, because I just woke up an hour ago and am on Chaz and he can wait, so he is pacing the apartment looking pathetic and whining. Then he'll come over and stare at me. Then pace. Then whine. Then stare.

I swear, dog. You won't die waiting another ten minutes. Actually, you are making me not want to feed you, just so your pacing and whining isn't rewarded.
