It probably got hurt, remembered the sympathy it got and emulated the injury.

A friends border collie would limp every time he got yelled at lol.

Yeah I thought she must have been injured before as well, but still! I've never even seen a dog fake an injury that well. I wouldn't doubt for a second that she was crippled if I saw her in the streets. Smart!! And durable, if she recovered from that bad an injury on her own. Someone should import her to use in movies

Oohh that would explain it! I thought it looked like one of those really exaggerated stretches at first, but I didn't know what to make of the dragging.
