Default Truly great training advice

I hope nobody minds me doing this but I am always looking for certain posts that were just superb and I can refer people too. But they are so hard to find and sometimes I just can't find them at all. So, I thought I'd make a sticky where we can all add links to posts/threads we think are great.

Here's one of my favourite from CreatureTeacher (Emma)

I don't crate train myself but there are plenty of people who do and I think this post from Mordy is very clear and easy to understand. It could also be used for a puppy proofed room or puppy pen.

-----

Some books Emma (CT) recommends

The Other End of the Leash by Patricia McConnell
If a Dog's Prayers Were Answered, Bones Would Rain From the Sky by Suzanne Clothier
The Power of Positive Dog Training by Pat Miller and Jean Donaldson
Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson

-----

Here's another one from Emma on dominance, the 'pack' and more

http://www.chazhound.com/forums/show...55&postcount=4

-----

ok well that's all for now but I know there are plenty more I'll think of later. Everyone else feel free to add something you want to remember. remember- training related.

Here's one for you: http://www.chazhound.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16967

Now, we need to do a search and just pull up all of CreatureTeacher's posts

That is a good post.

And we DO need to get Emma's messages across since she's not posting here much anymore

You know, even though she doesn't post that much I bet Emma left us most of what we need.
