I start college in 2 days. I keep fluctuating between excitement and sheer panic.

LMAO the funniest and most embarrassing thing happened last night.

Hannah was talking to her Grammy (my mother in law) on facetime last night while Brian and I were doing our workout. So she went into our room to talk and I guess she was showing everything in my night table to Grammy.

When we were done working out Hannah brings the phone to me and my MIL is laughing hysterically and said she needed to call me on the phone and tell me something. She calls me and says "So Hannah was showing me things in your room and suddenly she holds up this tube and says 'what's this' and so I read the label and realized what it was LOL"

TMI time,... it was our lube LOL. She is near peeing herself laughing because Hannah is all like "What is this Grammy" and she said "Oh... it's just something mommies use sometimes... " and then she changed the subject LOL.

I was like "well, that's embarrassing" LOL she was all like no it's not, everyone uses it. YEAH that's true but not everyone shows it to their mother in law

I suppose it could have been worse lol and I have a great relationship with my MIL but... STILL!!!!!!!! lol

We turned the dining room purple. I LOVE it. Now we just need to dye the ancient curtains and lay new carpet.

Then I need to get a hammer to the wall we just painted purple because its fake and there's a chimney breast behind there and I want to see if there's a fireplace!!!!! **** it!!!! This is the oldest part of the house I think, 18th century. Who knows what might be there!!!

On a side note, other halfs grandfather made all the furniture in the room.

Sometimes I get so annoyed by what's going on around me. And other days I can't believe I got so lucky. Today was a very, very good day. A much needed very good day.

I sort of unintentionally met Patrick Dempsey. I was looking at his car in the paddock at the Grand Prix yesterday, when one of the guys on his team whispered "Turn around." So I did, and there he was standing behind me. He's a pretty attractive guy, lol.

Yep. I would die. I would look at him and not be able to form words.

I've always believed that the neighbor is running less of a rescue and it is more of a hoarding situation. Before we actually closed on the property, my MIL and I went down to the barn to talk to the people. One of the volunteers proudly told us that the girl who runs the rescue is so worried that the horses will fall into bad hands again that she never adopts any of them out. Well, she might if she really knows the person, but otherwise the horses stay there for life.

The 'rescue' has a FB page that I follow and they were explaining that it costs some ridiculously high amount per month, per horse. I've owned horses before, I know they are expensive, but they are NOT that expensive. Plus, they do lease several out to 4H kids, do lessons, trailer out to do pony rides, etc. So the horses are bringing in money. For these reasons, I have stayed far away from the situation.

Last week, we had people out re-doing the barn and the lady that manages the property next to us stopped by and started venting to Ben about the rescue. The rescue leases the land, I'm sure very cheaply for tax write of reasons, and the property manager is tired of them. They were suppose to be putting in shelters for the horses. They claim to have nearly 42, but she believes that there are A LOT more. She felt they were not using enough bedding in the stalls, so the place always smelled like horse urine. And, she also felt that they were hoarders, not a rescue. And that the local humane society no longer uses them when they have horses because they have too many. SO, they are in the process of finding a new home.

I'm pretty excited to see what comes in next. One of the people interested in the property is a tack store. I told Ben I would quit my job in a heart beat and work at a tack store. I'd take a major pay cut to walk across the driveway to my job and be allowed to play with leather all day. But, I just hope whoever gets it next is nice and fun.
