Default Dane specific "service dog certification"?

One of my managers at work just bought an adorable black Dane girl and was saying something about her being certified as a potential service dog? Has anyone heard anything about what that might be? It's supposedly a week long course for 3-4 month old dogs...I kept asking him if it was the CGC or TT but he swears it has to do with service dog stuff.

Could it be this? http://servicedogproject.com/ Seems to be dane specific...

Nevermind, I apparently missed the second half of your post

There is no legitimate certification for service dogs in the US.

Or getting scammed. A lot of people have a way of convincing people they need something. I've seen many websites that sell "certification" papers for service dogs. A training facility might be able to pull that kind of thing off as well.

I asked him to bring in the "papers". I'm pretty sure it's some shady breeder trying to justify an exorbitant purchase price.
