Default Can you fix my disgusting dog.

Happy is gross.

All winter long, we thought she was burying her head under the snow digging up rabbit poop to eat.

And then the snow melted, and we discovered there were virtually zero piles of Lucy poop in the yard. Hmmmm.

She doesn't eat her own poop, she doesn't eat Juno's poop. Just Lucy's

Her breath is KILLING ME and she loves to give kisses and just.... gag. So I have to know if there is something to try other than picking up poop multiple times a day - which ain't happening.

Do the supplements actually work, and do you give them to the dog who is eating poop, or the dog who's poop is being eaten??

To the dog who's poop is being eaten or the dog, it depends on the supplement. What are you feeding?

Try putting some meat tenderizer in Lucy's food. That's what the vet I worked with in El Paso always had peple do. Supposedly it changes the taste so they won't eat it.

Any certain kind to look for? Seasoned vs unseasoned?

I hear a lot of good things about the Solid Gold SEP at work, it would go on Lucy's food!

Why can't you clean up the poop when it happens? I'm assuming Lucy doesn't go more than twice a day, so it's not like you'd be out there 10 times everyday cleaning.

Seems like the easiest solution; it's what I had to do when Sako went through that phase.

Well I'm not home during the day so that would be left to my mom... and she's not going to watch the dogs every time they go outside to see if they're pooping. They go out like a hundred times a day.

That would definitely be the "best" way but certainly not the "easiest," especially since I know this is just going to be a problem until Happy dies. The habit is probably as old as she is.

I would look for unseasoned if possible.
