Default Awesome joint supplements?

Yes, I'm looking for something AWESOME.

Happy is on 2 different supplements and still hobbles around. She is on Wapiti Labs Mobility (http://www.wapitilabsinc.com/store/p...mobility-dogs/) and Joint Logic Level 1 (http://www.hyalogic.com/companion_an...t_details/0/67). The Joint Logic only got added in because my friend had it and didn't want it. Otherwise I totally would have picked a higher level.

I put her on the Mobility right after I got her, but she's slowed down considerably since then. Reallyyyyy lags on walks, she used to be out in front of me trotting along, now she falls behind and we have to slow down to let her catch up. We went for a couple walks today - not even terribly long or difficult ones - and I just noticed when I brought her to bed that she seemed to be limping a bit down the hallway.

So anyway just wondering if you guys have had success with anything to treat existing issues. We have Dasuquin at work - any opinions on that?

Won't hurt to add fish oil in, too.

There also comes a point where joint supplements aren't enough, and pain meds need to be added.

Nordic Naturals fish oil can't hurt that's for sure! We take their people version and give our dog the pet version...the only difference being flavor, I believe. Good luck.

Glyco-flex here as well. I picked it over Dasequin and Cosequin because it has more Glucosamine per tablet, and also it's cheaper IIRC.

Cool I'll have to see if I can get Glycoflex through work. That stuff looks a little spendy lol.

I might throw in a fish oil or maybe even just try aspirin and see how that goes. Just don't want her to be ouchy especially since she lives for walks.

Cali is on HylaSport Canine. She has luxating patellas, so the joint supplement is hopefully to keep arthritis/etc at bay and keep her as comfortable as possible since I'm hoping she won't need any surgery until she's much older. I was originally going to order Glyco-Flex, but read so many great reviews for HylaSport, and ended up giving it a try instead. It has all the ingredients I was told to look for back when I was picking a joint supplement for my horse, just with modified doses for dogs.

She absolutely loves it and even though it's a powder, she'll try licking it up plain. I put a little bit of cream in it, just so that it's quicker for her to eat. It has everything that I was told to look for in a supplement and the two pound tub is likely going to last about a third of a year... so I'm not sure how long it would last for Happy since she's considerably bigger than Cali.

I actually found a link where people compare Glyco-Flex and Hylasport, based on their own experiences. I think a lot of it may come down to the specific dog though.
