I think more than some magic stress reducing herb or something, it's more about:

Get enough sleep
Make sure you eat healthy
Exercise
Keep a nice environment. Light candles, keep your space clean/organized if that's a stressor, have nice clean fluffy pillows and blankets
Make sure you spend time doing things you enjoy and FOCUS on that. Push thoughts about whatever's stressing you out OUT of your head whenever they pop in
Chamomile tea
A relaxing bath
Spending time outdoors
Upbeat music

For those that have a IUD. I'm looking at getting a copper one hormones just don't sit overly well with me. How much did your bleeding and cramping get worse or did it get worse at all?

I don't have any experience with the copper IUDs. From my reading, it does sound like they can make periods heavier, though.

On the IUD topic, I found out there's a new IUD out, designed specifically for women who haven't had kids!!

Default Hair Update

So happy I did this and am sticking with it - my hair's so nice natural. Finally it's starting to look good.

My only problem is when I run my fingers through short hair I WANT IT SO BAD. I need to stick to petting long hair.

Anyone have good hair products for thick curly frizzy hair?

I've tried at least 8+ brands, nothing works.

D'aww thank you!!<3

Jazzy, the best product I've found is to not use shampoo. Then add a little silicone-based product. (I don't use anything anymore.) Sebastian has a really good serum for short hair, but I don't recommend it for long.

I have a copper IUD. I don't really find the cramping to be worse. And I don't particularly find that I have heavier bleeding... but it does seem to stretch the bleeding out a bit. For example, before my IUD I would have 2 really heavy days and then much less for the next 3-5 days. Now, I still have probably 2 heavy days and again much much less... however I have found that I often still have a little bit of bleeding by the 7th day and sometimes it'll stop for a day and I'll think all is good and then I'll have a tiny bit of bleeding again for a day or two before it finally stops. It's not a big deal except for being a little annoying. I don't think I'm losing more blood than usual... it's just a pain in the butt.

However, I'll take that over hormones any day. I'd rather have more to deal with with my period than really not have any periods but feel as horrible as I did on birth control. I was not myself. All I wanted to do was sleep, watch tv and eat. I didn't want to go for walks or play sports. And I was constantly getting UTIs and yeast infections. Hormones are the devil. They are not healthy. They need to come out with more non-hormonal methods that are EFFECTIVE. The copper IUD is really the only option right now.
