Two easter eggers and four silver laced wyandottes. I'm going to return in a couple of days and pick up a couple black sex-linked babies. The others are a straight run and I suspect a couple of my lighter SLWs are Roos.

^^ Look at me, talking like I have a chick clue!!

You're going to love the easter eggers! We have 3 and they all look compeltely different. One lays blueish eggs, one lays blue-green eggs, and one lays olivey eggs.

They were my surprise buy. He brought out 4 and said "I have Easter Eggers" and I remembered everyone liking them that I've talked to about chickens. I didn't like the fuller face, but when I saw it, I though it was cute.

I almost wanted to get one of each kind lol.

He has Cuckoo Marans which are very nice to look at also. Oh the choices...

I've decided to renovate our old chicken coop. It is about 10 x 12 with an attached run and already built nesting boxes. I was brave enough to look inside tonight, and it's too nice to not fix up and de-spider.

nothing cuter than baby chicks! I have a couple silver laced wyandottes, as well as 7 others (different breeds), I found as you might, with the SLW's at one point when young, they go thru the "uglies" LOL,,they looked like ugly vulture babies and I to, thought maybe they were roo's! But they weren't

I just put in an order for 2 lavendar orpingtons, a coronation sussex, and lemon cuckoo orpington, to be hatched april 29,,what they say is true, you can definitely become addicted to chickens!!

Have fun and my one suggestion, HANDLE THEM ALOT!!!! Mine are all very friendly and very easy to handle

The guy we got them from said don't handle them for the first two weeks. But I have read online we should go ahead and start. Not sure what to do? What do you do?

Vultures lol. Yep- that is what that one above looks like to me.

We handled ours from the start, and they're all very tame.
