I have no idea how true this is or not. But I asked Ivans breeders one day how come Ivans where all dangley and not tight up against his body while her males (who was a couple of months younger than Ivan) his where pretty tight up against his body. She said, in her observation it has alot to do with how they fall on the dog pecking order. The higher up the more dangley they are going to be. Where as Ivan was the only intact dog in the house of 2, her boy was the youngest male in a house of 2 males and 3 females all older than him.
And yes I truly asked that question. LOL

Fred's a wuss so doubt he'd be very high up the pecking order

Looks like he's in good company. He definitely has them on the larger size judging by those pics lol.

Uncle Fred's were big, dangly, and black and white spotted. They were extremely noticeable. I didn't think they were ugly, exactly, but they sure did make it funny when people kept asking if Uncle Fred was Mini's mother. Garnett, of course has teeny little baby balls.

Stryder had big balls (relative to size) but weren't dangly, and I kept his bum just long enough to hide them.

Lincoln had cute wittle ones that never dangled. (yes they were cute!)

Shambles has big old shiny pink balls. They're hideous. Jonas used to have balls that looked more like a vagina than any thing because of a weird crease down the middle. Special dogs.

Intact Basset Hounds are the WORST... I swear, the one we saw in the group ring in Wichita... his balls would swing around and hit the outside of his thighs as he trotted along... it was awful!

I think the worst part about intact makes isn't the balls... it's the huge anus. I don't know why, but it's always HUGE with intact males.

Ohhhh.... the conversations we have on Chaz. *shakes head*

They Do get huge bums. The theory at work is that the weight of the testicles stretches it a bit *shrug*, but I think the appearance of the skin itself is different too..so maybe it's a hormone thing.
