Question Would you eat in a restaurant alone?

I only ask because I did tonight. And I didn't even have my phone to play on

Wasn't all that bad, and didn't even get that many strange looks

I take myself on dates every wednesday..
is that weird?

It's like a ritual lol I usually do dinner and a movie on my own! I like it. usually I bring a book, enjoy a good meal.. why would it be odd?

Someplace like subway or panera? Sure. A place where someone has to seat you and take your order? I've only done it once, because I had an expense account to blow when I was traveling alone for work. (I went to Ruths Chris on company money )

I would as long as I had a book something to read--I have trouble just sitting and eating, I have to be doing something.

I won't eat at fast food places alone, let alone a sit down restaurant.

Yep. I like spending time by myself every now and then.

I go to a day time movie by myself a few times a month.

Yeah, I don't mean fast food. I mean walk in, be shown to a table and take your order place?

I'm away for work, and I loathe sitting in my hotel room on my own all evening, so just went for it.

I've also gone to a pub on my own and watched a band, on one trip. I only stay out an hour or so, but I feel more confident after each time!

I've only been to the cinema on my own once, and I did enjoy it. I'd do it again.

I do on occasion.
whenever I'm travelling I like to find nice restaurants and cafe's and occasionally when I'm out and hungry I'll go get whatever I feel like at the time, weather its a kebab or a sit down meal.

Somewhere like Subway or a cafe, sure. A restaurant, though? No way. I don't have a problem going to the movie theater by myself, but I get weirdly self conscious about eating at a restaurant by myself. Luckily I have a designated "foodie buddy". We're looking forward to me getting back in town just so we can finally go out to eat again
