You should be able to adjust the average dispense time. Then it will vary around that. As the dog gets more and more conditioned to their crate, you just increase the amount of time between dispensing. When I have mine set on 60 seconds, it'll have a couple of long ones followed by a couple of shorter ones, but it doesn't constantly pump out treats.
