Default Small lump/bump

WWYD

I found a small lump on Mia's shoulder a while back. I had assumed it was a bug bite. It is smaller than a pea in size.

I've been monitoring it and in this month it has not gone away. Nor has it gotten any bigger. It is definitely just in the skin as you can feel around it so to speak. Feels hard to touch and does not move. It is not red and fur is growing on top of it like normal.

She did have a small wound a while back but I can't recall if that was the spot or not.

I would visit the vet. I never take any chances.

Most likely nothing major but without a qualified opinion, you will have just one more thing (you don't need) to worry about.

Lucky wishes on the way!

-Mark.

I wouldn't be too concerned really. I'd watch it for changes, but something like that is very normal.

Marsh has a couple of those - not rock hard, but firm and if you try to squish it, it just slips away - and a vet said they're just calcium deposits or something. I can't remember what she called them. His haven't changed in years, a lot of time I forget about them. I think he has two, one is sort of on his right bicep.

So, if it sounds like that I wouldn't worry.

I would say it's probably a calcium or fat deposit. My dog has gotten those as he's aged. He's got some small ones and a couple larger lumps mostly on his side and underbelly. The vet said that all of them were fine and that it wouldn't affect him.

Skye has had multiple ones like this pop up all of a sudden..she's going into the vet Wednesday as they don't seem like fatty tumors. Just like marbles under the skin... I'll let you know what the vet says?

It vanished but now she has one on her ear and Summer has one on her neck. I think they're bug bites.
