growing up, my mom always said at 6 months dogs stopped growing up and started growing out. Hudson is a little over 5 months and is a tiny little thing. I'm not sure how tall, but my mini self has to lean way down to shovel treats into his mouth and he weighs close to 30 lbs now. He has been growing, on average a pinch under 1.5 lbs a week.
So when did you notice your dogs slowed down on their growing? When did they stop growing?

Probably about the 1 year mark? Maybe a little sooner? After that point it was mostly just her filling out. I know when she was spayed at 6 months she only weighed 30lbs, and full grown she is 50lbs. And the collar that I custom ordered for her just before she turned 1, still fits her on pretty much the same hole.

I think for small to medium dogs, 6 months is probably roughly the end of the peak growth, but they still may grow a bit more. For giants, its more like 12-24 months and then out....but many put on a bit more still. I know of wolfies and danes that were still growing up at 4. Ivy put on a good inch between 2 and 3.

I *thought* Milo grew up until about 9 or 10 months, and continued to fill out until about 18 months, and he's a small dog.
I could be wrong, though...or he could have just been a slow grower? At 4 months, he only weighed about 1/3rd his adult weight (a little less...8 lbs at 4 months...20 lbs full grown).

All of my dogs reached their full height by 8 months at the latest, but usually by about 6.5 months. Then they started filling out after a year or so and were pretty well done by 3 years.
I hope this holds true for Journey haha. She isn't that tall I guess, but she is already 30lbs at 4 months thanks to all that bone of hers.

4 Months.
I've decided this is when Merlin will stop growing. Wishful thinking perhaps

I think it tends to vary when an individual dog stops growing. Mine have tended to add height until 8-10 months, and then fill out for awhile. I do have a fairly slow maturing line of dogs, which aren't fully developed until they are about 3.

If I remember right, Caleb stopped growing height wise at somewhere around 6-8 months. Believe it or not, he finally stopped filling out about a year ago- a 5 years.

Zander wasn't done filling out until he was 5 years old.

I was told that Saxon would grow "up" for the first year and "out" for the second year. That seems about right for him and most Bull Breeds (give or take a few months).
