Right?? I can't remember when my mom talked to me about it.. I think I was older than 9 though. I have a 9yr. old niece (turns 10 in March).. I couldn't imagine her already having a period!

Most of the girls in my family (mother's side) are over 12 at the VERY minimum! I to am thankful that I didn't have to deal with it any sooner........honestly, I would have been happy to wait until I was 20 or more

I had a close friend who started at age 10. Her mother done (IMO) a really good job making it seem fun! My friend was actually EXCITED that she was "becoming a woman" LOL Weirdo, LOL
