not exactly sure. 12 maybe? 11 or 12 I think, I know it was before highschool but don't remember exactly what grade or age I was. I remember it wasn't really a big deal. I got it one day at school, a friend gave me a pad, I went home and asked my mom for some money and went and bought myself a pack of pads. My mom obviously saw the used packaging in the garbage and said "Did you start your period?" I told her I did and she was like "Why didnt' you tell me?" and I just said that I didn't think it was that big of a deal lol I knew what I had to do to take care of the situation so I didn't think telling her was really nessecary as she would obviously know or figure it out lol

I was 9, barely..... My daughter was 10, the friends we're staying with their 12 year old just started this month... Most of my girlfriends when I was you g were around 10/11 some earlier, some later

I voted 13, but I can never remember if I was actually 13 or 12. Most of my friends started before me, but only by a few months.

16. My mom said she started around then as well. I know some girls get embarrassed about being a "late bloomer", but I loved not having to deal with all of that stuff until later. LOL

Edit: It's hard to remember since I have irregular periods. I could have started at 11 and not have the next one until 12 or 13.

OMG I can't believe some of you started when you were 9! I couldn't imagine dealing with that at that age.

I haven't gotten mine yet. I probably won't get mine until I'm 16, as that is when my mom got hers. Honestly I feel lucky that I don't have to go through it yet. So many complain about it and I'm just like, "Yep, haven't had to go through that yet."
