I may have to take Cricket to the vet today more than likely. I'm going to call my vet as soon as they open to explain what is going on and see if they would recommend me bring her in.
Last night I noticed Cricket looking like she was going to throw up. She was hacking like she was going to, but nothing came out. On the way home from work I could have sworn she threw up all over my car because it smelled and she was making sounds that sounded like she was throwing up a ton. But... There was no throw up. As soon as we got out of the car she literally pulled me to the grass to try and eat the grass and was chowing down on the grass. She never really eats grass so I know something is upsetting her stomach. I just woke up to her hacking a little again though not as bad as last night and she still hasn't thrown up which seems weird. I would rather her throw up whatever is bothering her stomach, but she has been trying and nothing has come out. I really need vibes that this is nothing major and that she is going to be ok. As far as I know she hasn't eaten anything she isn't supposed to. She wad fine all day yesterday up until around 9pm. |

****vibes****
I can't think of what would even cause that? Something stuck in her throat I guess? I hope Cricket feels better today!

Ya I'm thinking it may be something caught in her throat. She doesn't seem to be making the throwing up sound much this morning, but she still kind of cough/dry hacks a little every so often (every 10-20 min or so). She goes to a dog daycare with me all the time so I also hope it isn't kennel cough. Last night it was considerably more of a "trying to throw up" thing though.
My vet opens in a half hour so I'm going to give them a call and bring her in if they want me to. I'm debating whether I should feed her breakfast or not. If it's something stuck in her throat I wouldn't want to make it worse or not. Other than that though she isn't acting put off in any way. She isn't acting lethargic at all and she's still very bright and alert. She trotted next to me on our walk this morning and looked excited to be out and about as usual. |

She has a vet appointment scheduled for today. Crossing my fingers that she is going to be fine. She seems to be doing better right now, but I still want to get her seen by the vet for a check up.

I will definitely keep you guys updated. I'm wondering if she may have caught something either from my work or from the MD pet expo we went to. I know at the expo there were a TON of dogs and who knows what could have been spreading around.
My poor baby girl is starting to look a little lethargic now and the past 30 minutes she keeps sounding like she is hacking up a lung. I wish our vet appointment would hurry up and get here sooner. 4 was the soonest they could get her in barring an absolute emergency. Right now I'm just keeping her hydrated and trying my best to keep her comfortable. She's been trying to sleep off most of the morning best as she can. |
