75 Pound Border Collie!?
Is that possible? A customer came in today with a big black and white fluffy dog that I thought was some kind of Berner mix or something. When I asked what he was she said he was a pure bred Border Collie! I didn't press the issue any further, so I don't know if he was a rescue that she was claiming was purebred or if she actually got him from a breeder. I snapped a quick picture, but it doesn't do him justice. He was really big and stocky. He was bigger than my coworker's lab. Thoughts?

I've seen some big ones. 65 lbs I think is the largest I've met. And then on the other end, I met a BC last week that must've been < 20 lbs. She was teeny tiny. About the same height and size as the shelties.

English Shepherd or English Shepherd mix possibly? Some of the males can get pretty big, especially if they're allowed to get a little chunky.

Holy smokes! I've never seen one over 60-65lbs either...while on the other a friend has one who's Webster-sized...a bit shorter but the same weight...
Super-sized BC, if purebred...

A lady I used to train with had a HUGE border collie. I don't know how much he weighed, but he was just all around ginormous. She got him from her husband's family in Brazil--apparently they breed them much bigger down there? She said her dog was the smallest of the litter mates (siblings/cousins had the rest of the litter).

 He's so big, but totally looks pure! Fluke? I've also not really heard of a Border over 65, heck Maddy was half German Shepherd and only 65lbs tops!

I know a purebred 65 lb BC, he's a byb dog though.

I had a friend in high school with a really large border collie. He looked about the same size as your picture. I think I remember her mom saying that the vet weighed him and he was 70lbs one year... who knows. He was a big guy though... I guess that's what happens when they're bred poorly for so long?
