This. I do this so bad. Both dogs and horses. I'm super bad about buying home decorations, picture frames and craft supplies as well!

Yeah, this. I've definitely had to cut back on some things since starting college, but I still have several...
1) Dog stuff - this one's probably a little obvious.
2) Photography stuff. It's not a cheap hobby...I'm saving up for a new lens right now
3) Good food, and good coffee and tea
4) Hiking/backpacking gear. EMS is a really dangerous store to go into.

I kind of don't splurge on anything, really. There has to be something, but I can't think of it.

I get my eyebrows waxed at a salon. It costs $7. And I get it done about once every three months. Yes, I could do it at home, but my eyebrows are feisty and it's a lot easier for me to spend the money.

I buy pretty expensive $18, but those cheap drug store eyeliners NEVER stay on for me. So again, worth it. And I buy it once, maybe twice, a year.

Everything expensive that I own has been a gift.

I buy tons, and tons, and TONS of books, but they're always used and typically cost under $1, sometimes maybe $5 or $6 but that's a book I need for book club or school. I have a ton (way, way, way too many) craft/sewing/scrapbook supplies, but I get them all super cheap or free.

I wouldn't mind paying extra for nice stuff if I thought it was worth it, like I find expensive clothes WAY more appealing than cheap clothing, but I get it secondhand for almost nothing, so I'm not going to pay a lot for it if I don't have to.

My number one splurge would have to be coffee, either a starbucks OR biggby. Second would be books. But with those I go through spurts. Third would be my dog shows. I love doing those, I just wish I had unlimited funds and time to do more of them.

I still splurge on the critters once in a while but for the most part I get a LOT of stuff from work free. Especially dog and cat treats and toys. I really do not need to purchase them. I splurge on bird toys and food like twice a year, but these are necessities. I was doing a lot of fish stuff but since I'm moving I'm keeping them as is for a little while.

I don't buy unnecessary things for the most part. I'm definitely not one to spend on myself much but I do go clothes shopping when the jeans get shabby, or I need shoes for work. I have a ton of dress shoes I don't wear really so even though I looove shoes, I try not to buy more. I do go for camera stuff every so often.

Dog stuff. I rarely buy anything that isn't somehow for Izzie too.

Default know what..I forgot I splurge on lush products. I really do not need $20 bottles of shampoos . I've cut back on it though.

Purses-if I see a purse I love I'll think nothing of spending a few hundred on it. Animal stuff too, but the big expenses are dog classes and bird stuff. The dogs don't go through toys as rapidly as the birds do, and I can drop an obscene amount of money in fun perches, foraging toys, destruction toys, etc.

Oh, and books of all kinds. I can always justify spending money on books.

I'd have to say good food. I buy locally roasted fair trade coffee that I grind myself and fair trade chocolate, locally ground flour, and most of my other foods are local. I balance it by buying cheap stuff from the bulk bins, and buying meat maybe 2-3 times a year (and I don't mean a huge amount - I mean one pound of ground beef or one whole chicken). I guess meat would be my technical splurge, but that's almost always thought out and planned.
