It really doesn't take me very long, as all I really do is give them a quick brushing before, bathe them, and then brush them out again. Maybe blow-dry if I need to. I don't usually clip their nails. We've got the clippers but their nails are at a good length right now. Anyways, with a full grooming (which I'm planning on doing for my BC mix) I'd have to
Brush her out (approximately 15 minutes) she's got a ton of fur Clip the fur between her pads (approximately 25 minutes) it grows the grass Bathe her (approximately 15 minutes) I can't tell you for sure how long it'd take, she hates baths but seems to be getting better Brush her out (approximately 15 minutes) Blow dry her (approximately 45 minutes) Take a shower myself (approximately 15 minutes) And then we get into how long it takes to brush out my wet hair, blow dry it, etc... ![]() She's brushed every day since she's so full of fur and her feathering gets a bunch of junk stuck in it if I don't. That's probably 15 minutes or so. Depending on whether it's tangled or not.

well for my pointer is very quick
I bross him in like 5 minute and wash him in like 15 minutes or less ! For my airedale terrier it's a diferent stuff. a regular brossing take me like 15 minutes . but when I strip her I take like a week doing it ( i'm just a newbie ) with 1 hour every day! for teh bath I only wash her legs and head. that take me like 10 minutes . after before a show I take like 20 minute more clipering the bud and neck . cuting with sisors some part , doing the nail and ears.

Brush- 5 minutes
Nails- 3 to 5 minutes (depends on if Chico wants to cooperate, he had a bad nail experience once where I clipped the quick and it bled so much. I had to take him to the vet because nothing stopped the bledding. I used everything from ceptic powder, to baking soda to a bar of soap, nothing) Bath- In the summer it takes about 5 minutes because I just put the shampoo on him, and hose him down, he loves the hose for some reason. But in the winter I have to use the tub, and Chico hates the tub so I have to spend time calming him down, so about 10-15 minutes. Ears- 1 minute Teeth- 2 minutes |

If I just go over Quigley with his regular routine, I'm done in about 10-15 minutes - nails, ears, brushing. Bathing adds about 10 minutes.
When I strip him, it usually takes about an hour's worth of work each day for 3-4 days, since I don't want to force him to have it done all at once. He doesn't particularly enjoy it and does tell me when it's enough for him for the day.

Visa takes me quite a long time. I do her every one to two weeks.
First, bath - 10 min Blowdry (I show-dry her so it takes alot of extra time) - 45 min Nails - 1 min Trim pads/feet - 5 min That's all, I don't brush or comb her ever (unless she is blowing her coat, once a year).

I've never really thought about the time it takes, just set aside an afternoon. Brush, comb, bath, towel, blowdry, brush, comb, trim feet, nails, little up the legs and, errrrr, other parts. Lucky for me he likes being brushed, except he thinks it's quite the game when he's on his back, LOL. Then out for a pee, run through the cedar hedge and roll in the dirt, in for another brushing and picking out cedar bits....
This only gets done when his whites don't look so white anymore but he gets brushed every day. |

Zeus is insanely easy.
Nails: 1-2 minutes Ears: 3 minutes Bath: five minutes, towel dry. It takes me longer to assemble bathing equiment than it does to bathe my dog. Brushing: Maybe 2 minutes, if I take my time and go very slowly. I brush Zeus once a day, and bathe him about once every two weeks. His ears are cleaned weekly. My mom's maltese in full coat, though...THAT dog takes a lot of grooming. Clipping: Sanitary clip, tummy clip and shaping the feet, about 30 minutes. Bathing: 10 minutes Blow drying: 45 minutes to an hour Face washing to prevent tear stains: 5 minutes Brushing: 15-30 minutes, depending on how tangled the hair is. Doing the topknot: about 2-5 minutes. Nails: 2 minutes Bathing, blow drying and nails are done weekly. Clipping is done monthly. Everything else is done twice daily except the topknot, which is done once daily. That's a lotta work for a 7-pound dog!
